PATHFINDER

About the Project

The Policy and Citizens’ Observatory is pleased to announce the launch of the project PATHFINDER – Unlocking the Potential of Youth on AI Learning for active transition to employment through democratic participation.
The project is funded under the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme and will be implemented between April 2026 and March 2028.

PATHFINDER is coordinated by European Dialogue (Slovakia) and brings together six partner organisations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Serbia. The Policy and Citizens’ Observatory participates as a partner organisation.

The project addresses youth unemployment in the EU by examining the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) as both a challenge and an opportunity for future jobs.

It has a youth-led approach combining participatory research, debates and workshops, knowledge exchange, and policy advocacy. The project aims to support young people (18–29) through AI ecosystem exposure, targeted training, and youth-driven advocacy.

In Bulgaria, the project will include research activities, public events, training initiatives, and the organisation of an international forum in Sofia.
